Founded in Dallas, Texas, we are a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence through education, awareness, and compassionate support.
LipGloss for Love, Inc. was born from a personal understanding of the impact domestic violence has on families — especially children. Our founder recognized that survivors needed more than crisis intervention; they needed education, community, and tangible support to rebuild their lives.
What began as a grassroots effort in Dallas has grown into a multi-city organization serving families across DFW and East Texas, providing both therapeutic services and practical parenting supplies to those who need them most.
The name "LipGloss for Love" symbolizes the beauty and dignity that every person deserves — no matter what they've been through.
With years of experience in social services and a deep personal commitment to ending domestic violence, our founder established LipGloss for Love to create the kind of support she wished had existed for families in crisis. Her vision drives every program we offer.
Every family we serve is treated with complete dignity and respect. There is no shame in asking for help — only courage.
We believe knowledge is power. Our programs equip individuals and communities to recognize and respond to domestic violence.
We don't just provide services — we build capacity. Our goal is to help every family we serve become self-sufficient and safe.
No one heals alone. We build networks of support that extend beyond our programs into lasting community connections.
We invest heavily in youth programs because we know that education today prevents violence tomorrow.
Everything we do is rooted in genuine care for the people we serve — meeting them exactly where they are.
Three distinct programs designed to educate, empower, and build leadership in families and youth across Texas.
Teen Awareness of Domestic Violence
T.A.D.V. is our flagship educational program for teens, designed to help young people recognize the signs of domestic violence and intimate partner violence before it escalates. Through workshops, peer discussions, and community events, participants learn to identify unhealthy relationship patterns and build the skills to respond safely.
The program covers topics including consent, communication, bystander intervention, and how to support a friend who may be experiencing abuse.
Girls Leading Our Sisters to Strength
G.L.O.S.S.G.I.R.L is a transformative program designed specifically for young women who are navigating difficult home environments or have been exposed to domestic violence. The program focuses on building self-worth, confidence, and leadership skills.
Participants engage in mentorship, creative expression, and community service — developing a strong sense of identity and a network of supportive peers and adult mentors.
Building Tomorrow's Advocates
Our Teen Leadership program takes young people who have participated in our other programs and helps them become advocates and peer educators in their own communities. This advanced program develops public speaking, project management, and community organizing skills.
Teen leaders have the opportunity to design and deliver their own workshops, represent the organization at community events, and build resumes that open doors to scholarships and future careers in social services.
